Unique Visions Dance Company was established in 2007 by Chelsea Hill; the director, owner, and sole instructor/choreographer. (Ms. Chelsea is certified by examination (Level I, II and III) in the Dance Educators of America Teacher Training Program in Classical Ballet, Jazz Dance, Tap Dance, Modern Dance and Theatrical Acrobatics/Tumbling. She's also Acrobatic Arts Module One Certified and has earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies focusing in elementary education. She has also taught dance through Artists-in-Schools; a program through the San Joaquin County Office of Education.) Her goal was to create a unique learning experience for students that combined discipline with a quaint and personal environment where students could be successful and work together whether they pursued dance professionally or for recreation.
In 2010, our small company had grown and UVDC expanded to it’s current location with sprung wood floors, and a beautiful viewing area. Ms. Chelsea has continued to inspire her students to strive for excellence in dance, the community, school, and life, and believes the benefits of their dance education can be applied and utilized throughout their lives. Giving back to the community is an important part of being a member at UVDC which is why we participate in many local events throughout the year.
During dance lessons, every student learns theatre and class etiquette, terminology, dance history and the proper execution of steps in an atmosphere that builds respect, poise, and self-confidence. We are a small company with big opportunities for students to learn the skills they need for their future. We are structured and professional yet also quaint and caring, which are a few of the many qualities that make UVDC unique.
